A Davis Instruments
Vantage Pro2 Plus system,
mounted on the Academic Center at Martin Luther College, collects the data seen here. This server uses the
Meteo package to gather data
from the weather station every minute, perform calculations, and draw the graphs. Forecasts, radar, and supplemental
data are retrieved periodically from NOAA.
Heaters for the rain collector and the system's shelter were added along with an AC Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield, which uses active and passive aspiration to minimze the effects of solar radiation and provides accurate temperature readings.
